AN ACT relative to the right to know law.

ANALYSIS

This bill makes it a misdemeanor for the presiding officer of any body or agency which violates the open meetings provision and the executive sessions provision of the right to know law.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighty-five

AN ACT

relative to the right to know law.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Penalty Added. Amend RSA 91-A by inserting after section 7 the following new section:

91-A:7-a Penalty. Any chairman or presiding officer of a body or agency which violates RSA 91-A:2 or 91-A:3 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 1986.
