AN ACT to permit governmental bodies or agencies to hold executive sessions for receipt of sensitive personnel or financial matters from an employer or agent.

ANALYSIS

This bill modifies the tight to know law by permitting governing bodies and agencies to hold executive sessions to receive sensitive financial or personnel matters within the official responsibilites from employees or agents of that body or agency.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventy-nine

AN ACT

to permit governmental bodies or agencies to hold executive sessions for receipt of sensitive personnel or financial matters from an employee or agent.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Sensitive Financial or Personnel Matters. Amend RSA 91-A:3, II by inserting after subparagraph (e) the following new subparagraph:

(f) the receipt of information from an employee or agent of the body or agency on sensitive financial or personnel matters, as determined by the body or agency, which are within the official responsibilites of the employee or agent.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
