STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventy-one

AN ACT

relative to the department of employment security.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Removal of Exclusion. RSA 91-A:6 (supp) as inserted by 1967, 251:1 excluding the department of employment from the right to know law, is hereby repealed.

2 Amend RSA 282:9, C by striking out said subsection and inserting in place thereof the following: C. Term of Commissioner. The commissioner shall hold office for five years from the date of his appointment and until his successor shall be appointed and qualified.

3 Incumbent Commissioner. The commissioner in office on the effective date of this act shall continue in office until the end of his term, provided that his five year term shall be deemed to have started July 1, 1966.

4 Fiscal Reports. Amend RSA 282:9 by inserting after subsection V the following new subsection: W. Fiscal Reports. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, on or before October first prior to each biennial legislative session the commissioner shall transmit to the state comptroller, on blanks to be furnished by the comptroller, estimates of the expenditures of the department of employment security, for each fiscal year of the ensuing biennium for administration, operation and maintenance. Any law inconsistent with the terms of this subsection is hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistencies.

5 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
